Responsibilities
Main responsibilities:
  • Developing and executing business strategies to grow the company's market presence in Japan
  • Building, maintaining and further develop strong relationships with customers, partners, and key stakeholders
  • Identifying new business opportunities and ensuring accurate reporting in our CRM system
  • Representing Saab at industry events, exhibitions, and business development activities
  • Collaborating with the Country Manager and business units in Sweden to achieve strategic goals
  • Supporting country-specific business development initiatives and improving processes
  • Acting as a key link between Saab Japan and our global organization to drive successful outcomes

Minimum requirements:
  • A strong ability to navigate complex business environments and build lasting relationships.
  • Thrive in an international setting and have a good understanding of Japan’s defence industry and procurement processes.
  • A strong business acumen and ability to develop and maintain good customer relations will be essential to your success in this role.
  • Relevant academic and/or military education
  • Experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships within an international environment
  • A strong ability to negotiate, influence, and drive business initiatives forward
  • A collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English
  • An understanding of the Japanese culture, public procurement processes and defence sector
  • A proactive and results-driven approach, with the ability to lead initiatives from strategy to execution.
The appeal
This position will be based in Tokyo and you will be reporting to the Country Manager, Japan and requires that you will be approved in a security vetting in accordance to ISO:27001+.
