  • About BRS service

    • What services does BRS provide?

      BRS offers free job hunting and career change support for bilingual and multilingual professionals living in Japan.

      To start using BRS's services, please register for free on our website. You can register your information, including your skills and experiences. BRS consultants will contact you if and when they have jobs that match your profile to discuss your experience and career goals. In the process of applying to jobs, they may also provide assistance with updating your CV or preparing for interviews.

    • Do I have to pay to use BRS's service?

      Our services for individual job seekers are completely free of charge.
    • What do I need to do to receive career counseling?

      To receive counseling for your career with language skills, first sign up with BRS for free and register information such as your skills and experiences.

      BRS consultants are assigned to the jobs, rather than to candidates. They will reach out to you when they find your profile suited to their jobs, in order to hear about the details of your skills, experiences, and your career desires. Career counseling will be held throughout the job change process.

      Please register detailed information, including CVs - the more information you register, the higher probability of receiving contact from the BRS consultants. We also recommend searching for jobs on the BRS website and applying.

    • Do you review and revise CVs and resumes on request?

      To receive support crafting a CV or resume that will help you to make successful job applications, please sign up with BRS for free and register the CV that you currently have.

      BRS consultants are assigned to the jobs, rather than to candidates. They will reach out to you when they find your profile suited to their jobs, in order to hear about the details of your skills, experiences, and your career desires. The support to improve your CV and resume will be provided in the process of job application.

    • Why have I not been contacted after sign-up?

      Thank you for signing up to BRS!
      The information you registered is carefully examined and our consultants will get in touch with you when / if your skillset and work history seem to match the positions that they have available. This also means that you may not be contacted immediately, unless there are suitable positions.

      Please register detailed information, including CVs - the more information you register, the higher probability of receiving contact from the BRS consultants. We also recommend searching for jobs on the BRS website and applying.

    • I live outside Japan. Can I use BRS's service?

      BRS is dedicated to serving clients and candidates based in Japan. As such, if you are a resident outside of Japan, unfortunately, BRS cannot assist you with your efforts to find a new job.
    • I don't speak Japanese. Can I still use BRS's service?

      Yes! BRS is happy to support you in searching for a new job, as long as you are currently a resident in Japan and have English language ability of business level or higher.
    • Do you offer your services to new graduates?

      At BRS, we provide service to everyone with language skills, as long as they reside in Japan. However, positions that we work on mainly require significant working experience and are suited to mid to senior level professionals. As such, we may not have positions for fresh graduates or those with limited experience.

    • I receive an error when trying to apply to a job

      You may receive the following error when applying to a job:
      "Failed to submit your application. Please try again later."

      Possible causes for receiving this error are:
      - Your internet is unstable and cannot complete the application
      - Your usage environment is not what is recommended
      - You have applied to the same job in the past and been rejected

      If your case does not apply to any of the above, please kindly send us a query through contact form.

    • What is the recommended usage environment for BRS website?

      Using the website in the following environment is recommended:

      PCs: Windows 10 (Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome)
      Smartphones: Most updated iOS (Safari) / most updated Android (Google Chrome)

    • The job I applied from a different website does not appear on My Page

      To apply jobs, you need to be signed in on the BRS website and click "apply" button from the job details page.

      For the jobs that appear on online services such as LinkedIn, the apply button will take you to the BRS website where we ask you to either sign in or register. The job detail page will appear after you complete the sign in or registration process and the job application will complete after you click the "apply" button on the BRS website. However, if you do not complete the registration process and do not apply from the job details page on BRS website, the job application is not complete.

      Only the jobs you apply from the BRS website will appear on My Page of the BRS website.

    • I forgot the login password

      Please issue the temporary password from the link below.
      By entering your registered e-mail address, you will receive a temporary password, with which you can reset your password.

    • How can I withdraw from BRS membership?

      To withdraw from BRS membership, please let us know your intention using the contact form.

      Please note that you will lose your access to My page upon completion of the withdrawal. Also, all applications will be canceled.
