Main responsibilities:- Act as an HR strategist, change agent and implementation advisor; be familiar with the company's strategic plans and assist directors/managers to translate strategy into practice
- Provide HR perspectives on business strategies of respective businesses; consult with line management on HR implications and issues
- Help directors/managers to align employee’s capabilities to the mid-to-long-term business needs
- Coach and advise directors/managers on general HR issues
- Facilitate and support performance/salary reviews, promotion/demotion, talent discussions including talent reviews and succession planning in respective businesses
- Ensure support and guidance for people managers in terms of employee experience survey analysis, promotion/demotion/intensive performance improvement
- Plan and implement agile talent acquisition along with workforce planning
- Ensure support and guidance for employees to better understand company HR initiatives such as DE&I, Well-being, Career Ownership, Life-long Learning etc.
- Handle conflict intervention, investigation around compliance issues, counseling requests from employees, and employee relations facilitation, etc.
- Coordinate the requirements-input for company HR instruments; initiate policy design and maintenance via HR leadership bodies, proactively partner with the ‘Center of Excellence’ teams to create innovative HR solutions reflecting specific needs of respective businesses
- Act as first HR point of contact for the overall employee representatives / unions
- Drive the creation and circulation of HR management information throughout the businesses in order to accelerate understanding
- Define figures for respective businesses on total labor costs, human capital appreciation, and supplier cost management and people development in align with Finance
- Ensure ethics and compliance actions across the organization by collaborating with the Ethics and Compliance site advisor
- Monitor quality and costs of services rendered by service providers and address necessary actions
- Closely collaborate with Japan and company HR Business Leaders/HR Site Leaders/HRBPs and Global HRBP

Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (eg. HRM, Commerce, Economics, Law, Psychology)
- 3-5 years of solid HR Business Partner experience in a large Multi-National Company (manufacturing, matrix organization, preferably at the scale of up to 2,000 to 3,000 employees)
- Minimum of 10 years of overall working experience in diverse functions (Experience and proven track record in working in at least one area of HR functions)
- Knowledge about the local labor law, legal employment conditions and those of the legal entity or specific site organization
- Team-oriented leadership skills and experience working with Senior Leadership/Management teams
- Strong communication and messaging skills with the ability to build long term partnerships with internal management & employees, relevant representatives of workers groups and external stakeholders
- Capability to work in a multicultural environment is an advantage.
- Daily use of business level English/Japanese (emails, online/in person meetings, presentations etc.) eg. TOEIC 800 and above
