Could you tell us about your background and what motivated you to join BRS?
Before joining BRS, I worked as a relation ship manager at a bank in the Philippines, helping high-net-worth clients manage their assets and plan for the future.
After moving to Japan, I attended a seminar hosted by BRS, which sparked my interest in both the company and the recruitment industry. I felt that my experience working closely with clients could translate well into recruitment. More importantly, I was impressed by how friendly, approachable, and positive the BRS team members were.
Although I explored opportunities with other companies, it was ultimately the people and the workplace culture at BRS that convinced me to join.
How would you describe the culture at BRS?
I would describe it as open and collaborative.
At BRS, people are willing to share knowledge, advice, and best practices rather than keeping them to themselves. There is a strong belief that helping one another ultimately contributes to both individual growth and team success.
I also try to contribute to that culture by sharing my own experiences and successful approaches. Whenever I achieve a good result, I make sure to recognize and acknowledge the teammates who supported me along the way.
How was your onboarding and training experience?
Since I joined BRS without prior recruitment experience, the onboarding and training helped me build a solid foundation and gave me a structured understanding of the recruitment process. Having that foundation allowed me to gradually develop my own consulting style through hands-on experience.
My manager also provided guidance that went beyond day-to-day processes. I learned how to build trust with candidates, ask meaningful questions, and approach conversations more strategically. Those lessons continue to influence how I work today.
You have achieved strong results, including being selected as a Monthly MVP. What has helped drive your growth?
Because I entered the industry with no prior recruitment experience, I always tried to stay open to feedback and turn advice into action.
In the beginning, there were times when I lacked confidence in the roles I was handling, and I often felt nervous reaching out to senior-level candidates. However, recruitment is a business where timing matters.
Instead of overthinking, I learned to take action first—whether that meant making a call, reaching out to a candidate, or starting a conversation. By consistently taking those small steps, I gradually built confidence, and I believe that mindset contributed to the results I have achieved.

BRS is a multinational environment where English serves as the common language. How has that experience been for you?
Before joining BRS, I was still building confidence in my Japanese and wondered whether I would truly be able to communicate comfortably in the workplace.
Fortunately, those concerns disappeared shortly after I joined. Because English is widely used as the common language, I can collaborate smoothly with colleagues, candidates, and clients from a variety of cultural and professional backgrounds.
What do you see as BRS's strengths?
One of BRS's greatest strengths is its strong brand reputation and extensive database. At the same time, success ultimately depends on how each consultant uses those resources.
The tools and support are already in place, which means there are plenty of opportunities to achieve strong results through your own creativity, effort, and approach. That's one of the aspects of the job that I find most rewarding.
Finally, what message would you like to share with people considering a career at BRS?
If you are even slightly interested in recruitment, I encourage you to speak with someone at BRS before deciding whether the opportunity is right for you.
By learning more about the role and the working environment firsthand, you'll get a much clearer picture of whether it's the right fit for you.
Trust yourself, stay open to new opportunities, and take that first step. You may discover meaningful connections and personal growth along the way.
Note: The job duties and responsibilities are from the time of the interview.
