■ Titile: Senior Recruiter

■ Specialization: RPO (Recruitment Process Outsourcing) Services

■ Joined BRS in 2024

Originally from France, Emmanuel started his recruitment career in 2018, supporting hiring across Japan and the APAC region for multinational IT and manufacturing companies. Since joining BRS in 2024, he has been supporting global organizations as an RPO Recruiter.

What attracted you to the RPO Recruiter role at BRS?

I had known about BRS for some time and was always impressed by its strong reputation and extensive network. When I heard that BRS was launching its RPO service and building a new team in 2024, I immediately felt it was an exciting opportunity.

At that point in my career, I was already enjoying the in-house side of recruitment. What appealed to me about BRS's RPO model was the chance to work closely with clients as part of their talent acquisition team, while also benefiting from the market expertise and resources of Persol Career.

In addition, being part of the Persol Group, one of Japan's largest HR services organizations, gave me confidence in the company's stability and long-term growth. It felt like the right place to continue building my career.

What has your experience been like as an RPO Recruiter at BRS?

One of the most rewarding aspects of being an RPO Recruiter is the opportunity to combine a deep understanding of a client's business with BRS's market expertise to support better hiring decisions.

Working closely with hiring managers, business leaders, and employees gives us valuable insight into each organization's culture, goals, and hiring needs. At the same time, being part of BRS gives us access to extensive market knowledge, including salary benchmarks, hiring trends, and competitor insights.

We also stay closely connected as a team, regularly sharing best practices and learning from one another's experiences across different industries and projects.
What I appreciate most about BRS is its collaborative culture. Even when working closely with a client, you never feel like you're on your own.

Can you tell us about your role and how you support clients as an RPO Recruiter?

One of the global companies I currently support did not have a dedicated recruiter in Japan before BRS became involved. Recruitment was managed from headquarters overseas, which limited visibility into the local market and led to a heavy reliance on external agencies.

Working closely with the client, I helped improve hiring processes and strengthen sourcing strategies by combining my recruitment experience with BRS's market expertise. Within the first year, overall time-to-hire was reduced by approximately one-third, with some positions seeing hiring timelines cut nearly in half.

I also help bridge the gap between the client's expectations and the realities of the Japanese talent market. Because I am involved throughout the entire recruitment process, clients trust me as an extension of their team. Being involved from sourcing to offer management also allows me to contribute beyond traditional recruitment support.

How has the RPO Recruiter role helped you grow professionally?

As an RPO Recruiter, you're involved in every stage of the hiring process as part of a client's talent acquisition team. This gives you the opportunity to develop a broad range of skills, from project management and data analysis to stakeholder management and employer branding.

The role also provides exposure to hiring strategy and workforce planning discussions, allowing you to work closely with business leaders and gain a broader understanding of how talent acquisition supports business goals.

For me, that's one of the most valuable aspects of the role. It offers opportunities to grow beyond recruitment and contribute as a trusted partner to the business.

What would you say to someone considering a career with the BRS RPO team?

The BRS RPO team is still growing, which means there are many opportunities to make an impact and help shape the future of the business.

It's also a highly international and collaborative environment where people learn from one another and share their expertise. You'll always have colleagues you can turn to for advice and support. Even when working at a client site, you're never alone.

If you're looking for a role where you can continue growing and be part of a supportive team, we'd be excited to hear from you.
