When proposing jobs to my candidates, I try to make sure that the character of the company matches the intentionality of my candidate. Instead of making career progressions by changing jobs, I want my candidates to be able to progress their careers within a company. Therefore, I try to propose jobs with which candidates can foresee future possibilities, in addition to what can be seen at the entry, such as title and compensation.
This is why I never start with proposing jobs when reaching out to my potential candidates. I first listen to what they value in a job, including what they want to do or what excites them the most.
The same goes for clients. By hearing the vision of the company and what kind of organization that the client is looking to build, I am able to introduce candidates who truly match that client.
Lastly, as I had career in the life science industry, I can understand the specialized terminologies. I truly enjoy talking about common things that are specific to the industry, with my candidates.
