Join a global leader in luxury luggage as an HR Business Partner at their vibrant Tokyo office! Known for its iconic suitcases and innovative designs, this company offers an exciting opportunity to shape HR strategies in a dynamic retail environment. You'll be reporting directly to the HR Director and leading key HR functions including talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management. With flexible working hours and the option to work from home up to 5 times a month, this role ensures a good work-life balance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- HR Business Partnering
- Provide HR consulting to employees, especially line managers.
- Talent Acquisition and Staffing
- Understand business functions and their needs and define JDs for effective and timely talent sourcing at all levels, including Office, Retail and Client Care.
- Define proper sourcing channels to fulfill the requisition in a timely manner through collaboration with hiring managers and external consultants.
- Build strong relations with external recruitment partners and schools to achieve recruiting goals.
- Monitor and manage recruitment budget/Headcount
- Interview candidates to assess their competencies, potential and company culture fit
- Manage internal transfers to foster effective internal mobilities
- Manage issues in staffing, including termination and redundancy by minimizing legal risks
- Learning and Development including onboarding
- Plan and lead on-boarding processes
- Conduct training for new development initiatives and HR policies
- Employee Relations
- Provide advice and support to employees to solve/prevent employee issues
- Performance Review/Management
- Prepare and conduct performance management and salary review process
- Other HR administrations
- Manage HR related data and provide to relevant functions such as retail, finance and HQs

- Requirements

- 7+ years of recruitment experience, agency or in-house
- Solid understanding of talent market in retail industry
- Understanding of Japan Labor Law, Compensation & Benefit
- Japanese fluency and business level English
- Experience in luxury/fashion business a plus
- Speed and accuracy of administrative task
- University degree
