We are a global company that researches, develops, manufactures, and markets automotive components. One of the first foreign automotive parts suppliers to have an office in Japan, we provide products and services to the aftermarket and OE markets. We specialize in the development, manufacture, and distribution of clean air products, supplying products to general passenger car, commercial truck, off-highway, and heavy-duty engine manufacturers. A global supplier headquartered in the U.S., the company's Japanese subsidiary manufactures diesel aftertreatment systems. The Technical Center develops and tests aftertreatment control systems and has established a relationship of trust with Japanese OE manufacturers. We will continue to expand our business by providing products that comply with strict exhaust emission regulations, and aim to preserve the global environment and fulfill our social responsibility.
Responsibilities
Main responsibilities:
  • Develop customer and market strategies employing strategic selling and other techniques in accordance with segment strategic sales goals
  • Act as primary commercial customer contact
  • Communicate appropriately with the customer regarding order forecasts and contribute to plant operations.
  • Quoting/pricing, cost estimate and business case development
  • Market Analysis to provide us with design, quality, delivery, service and cost data
  • Assist and support VA/VE & TVM activities
  • Business Development / Screen potential new business
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years sales/commercial experience in automotive industry
  • Proven tracking record in commercial/business with a tier 1 supplier
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability work in multi-cultural environment
  • Program management skills
  • Experience in financial & technical business negotiations
  • Demonstrated negotiating skills with proven progressive commercial success
  • Must be able to deliver professional presentations
  • B.S. Degree in business or engineering or advanced
  • Native level Japanese and business level English communication skill
  • Must have basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Power-point, etc.)

Preferred qualifications:
  • Knowledge of powertrain, engines or after treatment systems is preferred
  • Understanding of the emission regulation and its trend is preferred
  • Experience working with and relationships with the Japan commercial vehicle and off-road OEMs are preferred
