- Responsibilities

This team will drive new product development of microminiature connectors for the rapidly changing consumer and commercial markets. This role requires a hands-on cross-functional skill set. The successful candidate will have self-starter leadership skills, proven project management abilities, excellent communication skills, and be a problem-solver. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams on complex technical and operational challenges, navigate uncertainty, and advocate for customers.
Main responsibilities:- Lead the project and be responsible for comprehensive product development management (scope/change request management, product development schedule, production readiness, project budget, quality requirements) to drive on-time product release.
- Collaborate with various departments to monitor projects, identify issues, ensure continuous improvement, proactively mitigate risks, and report to relevant senior management on a regular basis.
- Work with the product management team to participate in business planning.

Minimum requirements:
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a project manager/project engineer
- Experience in agile project management (mind set to take necessary deep dives as needed)
- Possess solid business judgment and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent analytical, critical and logical thinking skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to organize and influence others without authority, as well as the ability to manage and accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously in a cross-functional work environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with senior management and functional leaders, as well as executive presentation skills to gain executive buy-in in a timely manner.
- Project manager experience for electrical products or electrical component products
- Knowledge of Kaizen, Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing methods
- A basic understanding of PBM® (principles-based management) and a willingness to actively adopt it
Preferred qualifications:- Academic background in mechanical or electrical engineering is a plus
