Oru client is a publicly listed company on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (First Section) that handles real estate fund management as well as the development and sale of income‑producing properties.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Application Specialist to join our IT team in Tokyo. This role focuses on supporting and enhancing our ERP landscape, which includes JD Edwards (JDE) and proprietary in-house ERP applications. You will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, external vendors and technical teams, ensuring smooth operations, system improvements, and successful project delivery.The position is based in Tokyo but could be expanded to other regions within Asia and requires good communication skills in Japanese and English. Main responsibilities:

• Application Support & Maintenance
  • Provide day-to-day support for both local and group ERP, both standard & custom made.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in collaboration with global IT teams. 
• System Enhancements & Projects
  • Participate in ERP-related projects, including upgrades, integrations, and new feature implementations.
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. 
• Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Work closely with business users to understand processes and provide solutions that improve efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively in English with global teams and vendors.  
• Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal IT standards and security policies.

Requirements

Minimum requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in ERP application support or implementation.
• Good communication skills in Japanese and English (spoken and written).

Preferred qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with JD Edwards (JDE) is valuable, but not a hard requirement.
• Familiarity with custom-built ERP systems is a plus.
