For the next-generation In-cabin Monitoring System (IMS) development, we aim to enhance capabilities, improve robustness, and expand use cases to make sure drivers maintain the appropriate level of focus depending on the situation and level of automation in the vehicle. We are looking for an engineer who is passionate about making safe, driverless vehicles a reality and is excited to work with us in creating a better future for mobility. Our daily tasks include developing software for vehicles, evaluating the software through simulation and in actual vehicles, then performing skillful big data analysis and implementing further improvements. You have solid experience developing hardware and software from the planning phase to product release including post-release maintenance. You will also develop utility tools to improve our work.
Main responsibilities:- Software implementation and functional testing for the In-cabin Monitoring System
- Develop PoC environments of the In-Cabin Monitoring system with simulink model based development
- Automate evaluations by designing a functional testbed to increase work efficiency
- Provide a product owner with technical assistance to define product roadmap
- Guide team members and contractors with troubleshooting technical issues
- Come to the office 3 days per week per our hybrid work policy, and report to the manager in charge of IMS development
- Requirements

Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Business level proficiency in Japanese (JLPT-N2 or higher) and conversational English (TOEIC score of 600 or higher)
- At least 7 years experience in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, C, C++, or other major programming languages
- Experience developing mass-produced products
- Experience in evaluation of camera systems, human sensing systems, or any other related products in the industry.
- Experience communicating and collaborating in a Japanese-language work culture
Preferred qualifications:- Experience in software development in AWS
- Experience in software development in CI/CD toolchain
- Experience leading a team in a Agile/Scrum working environment
- Work experience outside of Japan
- Proficiency in English both verbally and idiomatically
