Responsibilities
Main responsibilities:
  • Acts as a single point of the contact for the employees and managers in the business unit
  • Provide HR advice and support to managers and staff on a wide range of strategic and operational human resources issues
  • Advise managers and staff on issues of employment legislation
  • Actively identifies gaps, proposes and implement changes necessary to cover risks
  • Recruits talents for Business Sector, Site Management.
  • Facilitates the management team to bring best solutions for employees
  • Acts as the performance improvement driver and provokes positive changes in the people management
  • Designs succession plans for key talents and key job positions
  • Challenges the organizational structure of the internal client (business Sectors, Site management) and proposes changes
  • Acts as the member of the HR management team
  • Partner with Business Sector Senior Leadership/Site Leadership to Develop Leadership and Organizational Strategies, Methods, and Processes
  • Assist to develop strategies that enable leadership potential and attain organizational objectives
  • Support and optimize organizational design, structure
  • Create line of sight between the people strategy and business and customer needs
  • Develop change communication plans, messaging, and presentation to enable alignment, engagement, and contribution
  • Provide coaching, influence, and multiple perspectives to prepare leaders for crucial or difficult conversations
  • Partner with Business Sector Leadership/Site Leadership to Plan for Workforce Needs
  • Support and develop workforce planning processes
  • Assist to develop and define labor productivity initiatives and workforce optimization activities
  • Assist to analyze needs to achieve current and future business objectives
  • Identify talent and capability gaps and solutions
  • Define and align retention strategies, methods, and processes to identify and retain key talent
  • Partner with Business Sector Senior Leadership/Site Leadership to Develop and Align Talent to Meet Business Needs
  • Promote talent and performance management methods and processes to meet company and organization strategic and operational objectives
  • Enable organizational rewards and recognition strategy and programs
  • Support organization to develop and retain the high performing team members
  • Work with senior leadership/site managers on succession planning and the talent pipeline
  • Prepare leaders to align to performance management programs and activities
  • Support leaders to identify development opportunities for key contributors and high potential talent including job rotations and assignments, as well as define plans for low performers
  • Influence and enable cross-functional talent alignment
  • Act as an internal consultant for managing employee relations issues
  • Connect HR and Business Needs to Enable Globally Aligned Programs, Systems, and Processes
  • Act as an advocate of HR strategies and solutions into the business
  • Recommend and globally align people programs, systems, and processes that meet business needs while enabling collaboration and informed decision-making across organizations
  • Act as a feedback channel to improve HR systems and processes
  • Partner with Business Sector Senior Leadership/Site Leadership to Build an Environment that Fosters Workforce Engagement
  • Support the company's Supply Chain culture and behaviors and facilitate leadership alignment on how these are exemplified within the organization
  • Drive Site Leadership alignment and accountability to a global survey action plan with measurable metrics
  • Drive and support the development of a People Plan
  • Help establish a culture of appreciation and promote awareness of the impact of recognition
  • Develop and enable site engagement activities
  • Enable organizational communication plans
  • Partner with Business Sector Senior Leadership/Site Leadership to Drive Organizational Strategies and Change though Disciplined Processes and Methods
  • Enable significant change management and comprehensive communication through structured design, planning, and execution
  • Define and support HR metrics to ensure change management progress is measured
  • Support change management for programs deployed by HR counterparts and enable leaders to manage changes with their teams
  • Support Business Sector leadership team/Site leadership team set team objectives

  • Building Effective Partnerships for Development in teams of Business Sector/Site management.
Requirements
Minimum requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience in Human Resources/Employee Relations or related fields
  • Solid communication skills, relationship management, analytical skills and critical thinking
  • Native Japanese and Business level of English (written and spoken)
  • Proven leadership, demonstrated maturity, confidence and credibility
  • Proven ability in data analysis, people management and coaching, organizational development
  • Ability to support prioritization based on business needs and HR plans
  • Knowledge of HR policies and practice with demonstrated experience in the areas of employee relations, performance management, talent management, labor law, HR indicators and management of an HR organization.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and implementing continuous improvement through analyzing defined HR metrics
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with the leadership team to identify, assess, select, reward and develop talent to meet current and future demands
  • Demonstrated ability to work with leaders and employees at all levels

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience of working in matrix reporting organizations
  • Experience of cross divisional roles
  • Ability to coach, advise and influence senior leaders on people strategies to achieve positive business outcome
  • Ability to develop and implement engagement activities.
  • Experience of HR related change management
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Human Relations, Human Resource Management or Related field of study
