Responsibilities
You will lead the IT Infrastructure Go To User Japan team and you will have end to end responsibility for the overall management of local and regional operations in Japan, as well as within the APAC region. Your area of accountability includes, data center/computer room, networking, end-user hardware, communication tools and digital workplace initiatives. You will collaborate with teams worldwide in order to execute complex projects covering new facilities and managing through technology upgrade cycles. You will be involved in both business and technology discussions on ways to optimize our way of working while ensuring operational stability, sustainability, and compliance. You are empowered with high level of autonomy to exercise critical thinking and act proactively. Main responsibilities:
  • Business Partnering
    • Develop deep understanding of local business environment and business needs.
    • Actively drive standardization, global solutions, and best practices.
    • Build relationships with key stakeholders and continuously improve end user satisfaction.
    • Seek for Innovation in the field of responsibility and beyond and implements them to create business value.
  • Technology Expertise
    • Use state of the art technologies and methodologies to improve team performance and deliver value.
    • Champion innovative solutions to drive operational excellence.
    • Make managerial decisions based on solid understanding of technology advantages and limitations.
    • Responsibility for IT Infrastructure activities locally/regionally, as well as to ensure local demand alignment of standards to global process, technology and services.

Requirements
Minimum requirements:
  • Excellent understanding of IT Infrastructure technologies coupled with implementation experience.
  • Strong project management skills with good track record of implementing mid to large scale IT INF projects.
  • Proficient vendor management/negotiation skills.
  • At least 2 years leadership experience in a global, multicultural environment.
  • Skilled people manager.
  • Keen interest in current and emerging technologies.
  • Demonstrates rapid and continuous learning. Comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Has the drive to achieve. Pursues initiatives with energy and persistence even in the face of challenges. Confident to try things that have not been done before.
  • Has the emotional intelligence and adaptability to thrive in any environment.
  • Familiarity with the Japanese market, culture, and business practices.
  • Cross-cultural competency paired with fluent language skills both in Japanese and English.
