Responsibilities
Main responsibilities:
  • Lead monthly and weekly logistics activities in liaison with Apheresis Operations and Scheduling & Logistics
  • Responsible for operations with logistics suppliers and continuously improve ways of working and performance
  • Ensure logistical readiness for country launches and new manufacturing plant go lives
  • Own monthly and quarterly operations and business review meetings with logistics suppliers and internally
  • Own internal logistics procedures and ensure correctness of supplier procedures
  • Initiate, lead and manage logistics change controls and transformational change
  • Ensure KPI targets are met, analyze metrics, and extract actionable insights from reports to initiate projects
  • Select logistics suppliers in alignment with Global Cell Therapy Logistics, Warehousing, and Trade Operations strategy and principles
  • Support the team with managing transport bookings and issuing shipping documents where needed 
  • Foster lasting internal relationships with partnering functions to advance the logistics program and agenda
  • Own discrepancies framework including root cause analysis, CAPA provision and effectiveness checks
  • Derive future logistical needs from SD&OP forecasts and initiate projects to meet future requirements
  • Responsible for logistics POs and budget adherence. Ensure logistics invoices are audited, reconciled, and paid.
  • Develop route planning tools and optimize logistics execution together with Procurement
  • Oversee shipping system configurations, cold chain box inventory and maintain the required templates  
Requirements
Minimum requirements:
  • Master’s degree in supply chain, logistics management or equivalent
  • Minimum seven years of experience in logistics, transportation, and import / export in pharma industry
  • Experience in cell and gene (preferred) or biotech required
  • Experience with complex and highly regulated pharma supply chain and logistics models
  • Excellent knowledge of GDP regulations, transport regulations and dangerous goods regulations
  • Motivated to lead people with or without authority in a global matrix organization
  • Skilled in planning tasks, organizing work and communicating problem statements and solution proposals
  • Highly self-motivated individual, with demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Ability to work in a fast-changing environment and in serving as change agent
