Position Summary :
The People Operations Specialist acts as a strategic business partner, working closely with functional management teams in Japan. This role includes responsibility for people advisory, transition management, proactive change management and employee engagement.
Ideal role for somebody is looking for the challenge. This role is also open to candidates who have gained broad HR experience and are aspiring to become a Business Partner, even if they do not yet have direct BP experience. Responsibilities :
People AdvisoryApply professional knowledge to advise management on people-related matters, manage systems or processes and complete projects to develop or change systems as needed.
Strategic Workforce Planning, Acquisition and TransitionSupport the company's strategic workforce planning initiatives by advising and partnering with management on workforce planning and transition. Use and analyse data to achieve business objectives.
Project ManagementSupport local projects using project management skills/digital tools in order to deliver results/solutionswithin time and budget. Represent Japan in regional projects for effective local implementation.
Proactive Change Management, Planning and ImplementationProactively analyse business issues, identify opportunities and constraints and provide recommendations on high-impact issues to overcome implementation challenges. Actively drive change management and leverage strong collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure successful implementation.
Compliance and Technical ExpertiseMaintain expert knowledge of labour-related legislation, trends and the business environment that may impact the company and make recommendations based on potential risks. Develop and expand knowledge of company standards, policies and procedures.
Employee engagementCommunicate people policies, systems and programmes to employees. Partner with management to drive employee engagement and promote the company culture values.

Requirements
Requirements : At least three (3) years of work experience (General HR, People Engagement experience or management experience)
Required • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, in any discipline.• Strong commitment to personal and professional growth within the company.• Curious and adaptable to navigate new ways of working and innovative practices.• Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and collaborate within a networked team, including HR and non-HR colleagues.• Highly organized, self-motivated and capable of working independently.• Basic knowledge of Labor Legislation and/or Employment laws.• Basic knowledge of HR management systems. (e.g. Workday, eTime, etc)• Ability to quickly understand various policies/job aids/SOPs.• Written communication skills in Japanese and English: Advanced• Verbal communication skills in Japanese: Advanced• Verbal communication skills in English: Intermediate
Preferred • Negotiation, analytical and problem solving skills.• Familiar with technology/applications (e.g. has experience with Workday or other HR management systems, ability to learn systems and use them quickly).• Ability to manage through multiple priorities and manage own time.• PowerPoint presentation including presentation of analytical findings to key stakeholders.• Background in Project Management. • Background on Advanced Excel, Power BI and other automation tools.• Background/knowledge on Scaled Agile Framework/Agile methodology.
