Responsibilities
  • Market Development Manager in Micro Electronics applications (e.g. FPD, SEMI), and MP applications, etc.
  • Developing new commercial business and expanding existing business
  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis and identify new business opportunities
  • Manage OEM business; identify and create additional partnership opportunities
  • Negotiate and close complex deals that benefit Coherent and our customers
  • Timely and accurate reports as requested or required, such reports on account status or problems.
  • Provide accurate quarterly and annual business forecasts and achieve these targets
  • Develop and implement business growth strategies to achieve the sales targets in short term, medium term and long term
  • Own metrics to analyze and track business performance (market share / penetration, competitive, cost analyses; market, product, service strategy requirements) and communicate them effectively with internal organizations.
  • Adhere to company processes and policies.
  • Communicate with applicable persons in oversea offices in order to receive their support
  • Escalate the problem or claim from customers to Sales Manager in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Experience with Technical Sales with more than 5 years in the high-tech industry
  • Problem solving skills
  • Negotiation skills - Ability to work closely with a cross functional team as well as independently
  • Exceptional communications with customers, internal & external
  • Excellent written and verbal communications in Japanese and English
  • Experience with CRM software, preferably SFDC.
  • Effective and professional sales discovery,PowerPoint presentations, and closing.
  • Challenger sales experience preferred.
