Responsibilities

■About the Position
As an Ops Engineer, you will build and operate the foundation for reliable deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of a complex control software stack.
This is a 0→1 role focused on automation, system reliability, and operational excellence, working closely with engineering and architecture teams.

■Responsibilities

• Build CI/CD, build, and release automation for the control software stack
• Stand up monitoring, observability, and alerting across software platforms and supporting infrastructure
• Build hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test automation to validate software changes against real-world devices
• Drive system reliability, including incident response, root-cause analysis, and reduction of operational toil
• Own deployment, configuration management, and upgrade/rollback processes
• Automate regression testing and validation to ensure safe software releases
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams on system operations while owning software reliability and deployment
• Partner with architecture and engineering teams to improve product-level reliability and long-term operational stability

Requirements

■Required

• 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Systems Engineering with ownership of production reliability
• Experience with CI/CD and build/release automation
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (metrics, logs, alerting)
• Experience with Python (or equivalent programming languages) for automation and tooling
• Strong Linux fundamentals
• Business-level English skills and Japanese proficiency equivalent to JLPT N2 or higher

■Preferred

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform)
• Experience with container and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with time-series monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana) and dashboarding
• Experience operating scientific instruments, lab systems, or hardware-in-the-loop environments
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals
• Experience operating high-reliability or 24×7 systems
• Interest in quantum computing or physics
