Main responsibilities:
- IPO Leadership
- Lead end-to-end IPO readiness planning and execution.
- Develop and manage the company's IPO roadmap and timeline.
- Act as the primary finance stakeholder with underwriters, auditors, legal advisors, and regulatory bodies.
- Coordinate IPO-related due diligence, documentation, and reporting requirements.
- Drive readiness initiatives across finance, accounting, governance, compliance, and internal controls.
- Support preparation of listing application materials and disclosure documents.
- Corporate Governance & Internal Controls
- Establish governance frameworks appropriate for a listed company.
- Develop and strengthen internal control systems and risk management processes.
- Ensure compliance with Japanese regulatory and listing requirements.
- Work closely with management and the Board on governance matters.
- Lead implementation of policies, procedures, and reporting frameworks expected of public companies.
- Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Oversee all accounting and financial reporting activities.
- Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
- Manage audit processes and relationships with external auditors.
- Establish scalable financial reporting processes to support future public company obligations.
- Improve financial visibility, reporting quality, and management information.
- Corporate Planning & Business Partnership
- Support executive management with strategic planning and business decision making.
- Provide financial analysis and insights regarding company performance.
- Develop and monitor business KPIs.
- Support long-term business planning and budgeting processes.
- Deliver meaningful reporting and analysis to shareholders and the Board.
- Back Office Leadership
- Oversee finance, accounting, legal, compliance, HR administration, and corporate functions.
- Drive operational excellence and organizational scalability.
- Ensure company-wide processes are robust and efficient.
- Build infrastructure capable of supporting continued business growth.
- Stakeholder Management
- Build trusted relationships with auditors, securities firms, banks, shareholders, and external advisors.
- Provide professional communication to both Japanese and international stakeholders.
- Support board meetings and executive committee discussions.
- Act as a credible external representative of the company when required.

- Requirements

Minimum requirements:
- Experience leading or playing a key role in a Japanese IPO process.
- Deep understanding of Tokyo Stock Exchange listing requirements and IPO readiness.
- Significant experience managing auditor and underwriter relationships.
- Strong knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, governance, and internal controls.
- Experience overseeing corporate management and back-office functions.
- Demonstrated ability to build processes and organizations in a high-growth environment.
- Native level Japanese.
- Business-level English communication skills.
- Strong executive presence and stakeholder management capabilities.
