■About the Role
The Crane Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy-lift cranes onboard a specialized offshore construction vessel supporting renewable energy and marine infrastructure projects.
Working closely with vessel crews, rigging teams, and construction personnel, you will execute complex lifting operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.
This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced equipment on large-scale offshore projects and further develop your expertise in a highly specialized field.

■ Responsibilities- Crane Operations
- Operate heavy-lift offshore cranes during the installation of large-scale infrastructure and energy-related structures.
- Perform loading, unloading, and transfer of cargo and equipment between vessels and offshore facilities.
- Execute lifting operations in accordance with approved lifting plans, method statements, and operational procedures.
- Ensure smooth, accurate, and safe movement of loads at all times.
- Inspection and Maintenance
- Conduct pre-operational inspections of crane equipment and associated lifting gear.
- Inspect wire ropes, hydraulic systems, limit switches, load monitoring systems, and safety devices before lifting operations.
- Report equipment defects, malfunctions, or safety concerns promptly and support maintenance activities when required.
- Lifting Plan Execution
- Review and follow lifting plans, including load weights, operating radii, boom configurations, and rigging arrangements.
- Continuously monitor environmental conditions such as wind speed, sea state, vessel movement, and dynamic loading effects.
- Operate within approved weather and operational limitations.
- Suspend operations immediately if unsafe conditions or abnormal situations arise.
- Health, Safety & Communication
- Maintain clear and effective communication with riggers, signalmen, vessel crew, and project personnel through radio communications and hand signals.
- Adhere to all HSE policies, procedures, and offshore safety requirements.
- Exercise Stop Work Authority whenever unsafe conditions are identified.
- Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, drills, and risk assessments.

- Requirements

■Required Qualifications- Mobile Crane Operator License or equivalent internationally recognized crane operator certification
- Rigger and Signalman certification or equivalent lifting operations training
- STCW Basic Safety Training (BST)
- Minimum 5 years of experience operating heavy-lift cranes on offshore vessels, self-elevating platform (SEP) vessels, heavy-lift ships, barges, or similar marine vessels
- Experience in offshore installation, marine construction, offshore wind, or oil & gas lifting operations
- Working proficiency in English for offshore communication, safety instructions, and operational coordination
■Preferred Qualifications- Valid medical certificate for offshore work
- GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) certification
- Experience operating cranes with lifting capacities exceeding 1,000 tons
- Experience installing offshore wind turbine components
- Experience working on Self-Elevating Platform (SEP) vessels
- Japanese language proficiency
