Responsibilities

This role is responsible for driving service strategy and execution to support the growth of a product portfolio in Japan, working closely with cross-functional and global teams. 
It ensures operational readiness for new product launches and stable post-launch performance by strengthening technical support, maintenance, and after-sales processes.
In the near term, the focus is on preparing for new product introductions, while over time contributing to lifecycle management and portfolio expansion.

■Responsibilities
  • Support launch readiness, including coordination, installation, validation, and customer onboarding
  • Establish and improve service, maintenance, and operational processes
  • Ensure technical support readiness, including documentation, spare parts planning, and workflow setup
  • Support deployment and ongoing operations of new products, including a key upcoming launch
  • Monitor product and market conditions, supporting lifecycle management and replacement planning
  • Contribute to building a scalable technical support structure and provide field-driven insights

Requirements

■Minimum requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical support, field service, after-sales service, or related functions within the diagnostics, medical device, or healthcare industry.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with commercial, service, and technical teams.
  • Business-level English communication skills to collaborate effectively with regional and global stakeholders.
  • Native-level Japanese or equivalent communication ability.

■Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience supporting new product launches in the diagnostics or medical device industry.
  • Experience with IVD products, laboratory systems, or clinical chemistry-related instruments.
  • Knowledge of installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair processes for analytical or diagnostic systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a matrix environment.
  • Experience supporting customer-facing technical activities in collaboration with sales and service teams.
