Responsibilities

 ■A renewable energy firm is looking for a General Manager, Business Development Division■ 
As a Manager, Renewable Development, you will manage the development of utility-scale wind energy projects throughout Japan.  
They leverage our decades of experience and track record in providing clean energy worldwide to develop, construct, and operate wind power projects in Japan, which is their main focus.  ■Key Responsibilities

• Manage the development of utility-scale wind projects within Japan 
• Lead development activities in early, mid, and/or late stages of various projects 
• Identify development prospects, including market assessments, fatal flaw identification and initial site reconnaissance 
• Secure site control for development prospects, including negotiating leases, easements and other agreements with landowners 
• Coordinate landowner communication efforts 
• Take a lead role in obtaining certain local, municipality and/or national permits 
• Represent the company with customers, landowners, state and local officials and other stakeholders 
• Initiate and manage generation interconnection activities 
• Align projects with long-term company strategy and initiatives 
• Oversee project design and assist project budgeting and scheduling 
• Manage tasks according to budgets and schedules, including coordinating internal and external technical support

Requirements

■Required

• 4-8 years’ work experience in real estate and stakeholder engagement
• English and Japanese fluency, both verbal and written
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Ability to manage the development and strategic process for wind and/or solar energy projects
• Ability to write effective, concise reports
• Ability to travel up to 50%

 ■Preferred

• Experienced in the renewable and clean energy industry
• Master’s degree or MBA

15 - 18 million yen
