Main responsibilities:
- Overall trade related procedures to be handled and controlled with a high sense of laws, regulations and company compliance and provide ongoing support to Maisons needs.
- Understand optimum duties in conformity with a law (article 19, article 11, EPA, etc.) to use the knowledge in daily operations.
- Proper negotiations and instructions to customs brokers.
- Value teamwork and build trust with Maisons, team members, related other teams, vendors and HQ.
- Manage assigned tasks and perform smooth import process including finished products, display materials, packaging, store furniture, and other commercial/noncommercial products to be imported by the company.
- Drive daily import operations, communicate with stakeholders, verify import documents, customs clearance instructions, control the schedule, resolve issues related to delays, damage, or discrepancies, control billing invoices and deferred duty and tax payment application, and appropriate document storage.
- Daily communication with Maisons and provide necessary support in a timely manner.
- Learn and acquire the necessary knowledge and skills of regulations, compliance and internal rules to handle various types of imports including CITES, Food contact and other regulation related items.
- Instruct and consult to customs brokers to apply the customs declaration with the most effective way in terms of duty saving/reducing by using knowledge of the Customs Tariff Act, FTA/EPA.
- Review and summarize the accuracy of the import declaration, duty savings, and EPA errors.
- Support managers for the team engagement activities.
- Support and guide temporary employees to perform smooth import process.
- Requirements

Minimum requirements:
- Over 3 years of experience at Import and export operation.
- Good customs related knowledge in
- Incoterms
- Deferred payment of duty and tax
- Harmonized tariff classification
- [Preferable]Duty saving/exemption (article 19 under the customs tariff law, article 11 and repair products, ATA CARNET, TQ, EPA, COO, etc.)
- [Preferable]Import regulations (CITES, Food Sanitation Act, etc.)
- Good understanding of import and export related documents and customs clearance procedures.
- SAP or similar experience
- Intermediate or higher skill of Excel, Word, Power Point.
- Japanese: Native level.
- English: Business level.
- TOEIC 700+
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and business communication skills.
- Team player, a highly motivated to learn the internal operation and other operational functions.
- Positive thinking to enjoy complexity, ambiguity, and issues never experienced.
- High sense of solving problems by finding an appropriate solution.
- Actively participate in team discussion and propose new and/or continuous ideas to improve work effectiveness and efficiency together.
