Responsibilities
This company is a global leading manidacture in health care industry. With approximately 113,000 employees across 160+ countries, they have been improving the health and wellbeing of patients in Japan for over 60 years. They are seeking a Tax Manager, reporting to the Finance Director. This individual contributor role offers the opportunity to handle a wide range of tax matters for a major multinational corporation. Expect approximately 10 hours of overtime per month during less busy periods. Strong work-life balance benefits contribute to high retention rates, rare for a multinational company.
  • Maintain tax information and records.
  • Prepare local tax provisions and returns, tax declarations, and other required reports by working with the Tax Accountant Office so that they are submitted accurately and on time.
  • Prepare Consumption Tax and Business Establishment Tax returns.
  • Work on the local interim tax payment such as Corporate income tax and Consumption Tax.
  • Review the US tax provision, analysis of tax accounts and reserves by working with internal shared accounting team in Shanghai
  • Responsible for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and Internal Audit in the tax related area.
  • Key leadership role in managing the company’s global tax compliance requirements.
  • Critical role in tax audits, including providing information and research findings.
  • Lead correspondence with external tax agencies and other consultants.
  • Lead Transfer Price Adjustment analysis and documentation by working with Corporate Tax team in US and outside consultants
  • Analyze and interpret tax laws and regulations and understand how they impact the organization’s operations.
  • Support organizations to answer for the tax related inquiries from employees
  • Other company related works etc.

Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years experience in tax
  • Business English skill
  • Tax accountant qualification will be preferred
