We were established as a joint venture between a major telecommunications and IT services group with a strong presence in Japan and a U.S. company, which is now a wholly owned subsidiary of the U.S. company. - Responsibilities

Main responsibilities:
- Performs both predictive and reactive maintenance or repairs
- Works closely with RMCC (remote monitoring and control center) and Product Support to resolve issues
- Provides detailed documentation for each maintenance task performed as required
- Performs regular Inspection of installed equipment to ensure optimum performance
- Inspection of all components to ensure proper operation within product and environmental specifications
- Professionally interact with customers regarding status of the system,
- Performs site visits for troubleshooting and emergency incident task resolution as required
- Performs after hours on call duties in close communication with RMCC and customer
- Responsible for general site housekeeping and service related documentation
- Responsible for cloud tool based work order management applications
- Requirements

Minimum requirements:
- High school diploma & 6 years’ experience in electrical, process controls, or electro-mechanical fields or equivalent
- Technical diploma, Electrician Certification in a technical field and relevant industry experience of 4 years (electrician, electronics technician, field service technician, test engineer, etc.)
- Either of the following experiences:
- 5+ years of experience as technician for graduates with Diploma or Associate degree from technical/community college preferably in the commercial electrical, electro-mechanical and/or mechanical equipment or related system
- 3+years of experience as an engineer for graduates with an Engineering degree from a 4+ year University/College preferably in the commercial electrical, electro-mechanical and/or mechanical equipment or related system
- Good communication skills – both written and oral in Japanese and English
- Ability to drive vehicles. Already having driving license or willing to get one after employment
- Electrical experience and/or electrical theory understanding required
- Prior experience as an electrician in any of the following:
- 3 phase systems
- UPS (back-up power) systems
- Electrical generation and distribution systems
- Power electronics
- Automatic Transfer Switch Systems
- Microprocessor based control platforms is highly beneficial
- Experience with various test and measurement equipment, electrical codes and personnel safety products and procedures.
- Must be able to read and interpret electrical single line diagrams and blueprints
- Basic understanding of requirements of working safely, ability to wear and maintain PPE
- Able to follow procedures and execute sequenced work instructions from either written and or verbal communications
- Highly motivated and able to work independently
- A team player who exhibits a high level of integrity and professionalism in all situations
- Able to communicate effectively in English in both written and verbal form to facilitate duties as required
- Ability to regularly lift 21 Kg, occasionally lift 34Kg, twist, bend, squat, and climb ladders
- Willing to support 24/7 on call duties for emergency tasks and/or shift work operations as required
- Able to travel as required
Preferred qualifications:- Hands on experience of working & handling technical tools on the field is preferred
- Strong electrical, mechanical, troubleshooting /repair skills; understanding of mechanical systems, piping, plumbing and valve operation preferred
