- Responsibilities

Main responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the renewable engineering team.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and development of renewable engineering staff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the feasibility of new projects and then assist in obtaining project certifications and permits.
- Provide details and manage the engineering scope of work with third-party consultant, vendor, and supplier services as necessary.
- Coordinate with independent engineers and project partners to effectively navigate the technical due diligence process.
- Collaborate with project developers on the overall planning, direction, coordination, and execution of meteorological resource campaign.
- Incorporate lessons learned into workflow procedures
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the industry through various training sessions and conferences.
- Requirements

Minimum requirements:
- Proactive and can-do attitude
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Possess advanced knowledge and experience of renewable engineering, including use of wind analysis software (for example, MASCOT, RIAM-COMPACT, Windographer, etc.) and interaction with permitting agencies (for example, ClassNK, METI, etc.)
- Direct report management experience including the ability to mentor and coach team members.
- Strong oral and written communication skills which include strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to coordinate and manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Ability to identify critical obstacles and execute the necessary countermeasures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Advanced or proficient level of Japanese (listening, speaking, reading, and writing)
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (for example, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, renewable energy, statistics, atmospheric science, mathematics, physics, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to travel.
Preferred qualifications:- Advanced or proficient level of English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing)
- Valid driver’s license and be legally authorized to operate a motor vehicle.
- Field work experience is preferable.
- Master’s degree or MBA is preferable.
- Possess fluid mechanics knowledge.
- Advance knowledge of programming (for example, Python, etc.)
