- Responsibilities

- Lead product definition, specification and requirements phases for sensors, modules, electrical interfaces, data interfaces with the rest of the system
- Collect the thermal, mechanical, electrical, software, scientific and business and operational requirements and optimize the capabilities of the sensors
- Research, design and prototype innovative combinations of vision sensors so that they can be included in the next rover mission architecture
- Create and improve standardized testing environments for lander navigation sensor validation
- Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, optronics, or equivalent
- In-depth knowledge and 5+ years of experience working with navigation sensors and electrical systems
- On-site navigation sensor testing skill
- Strong communication skills : everybody is expected to share his/her methodology, goals and success criteria before, during and after implementation
- Relocate to Japan is needed.
Preferred Experience:- Master’s degree or higher
- Space industry, automotive or other high reliability industry or academic experience
- Experience with Camera Serial Interface-2 (CSI-2), MIPI, Ethernet, USB and muxing multiple camera together to one D-PHY (eg: camera bridge chip or FPGA)
- Demonstrated knowledge of camera lenses and filters
- Experience writing drivers for navigation sensors
- Experience with software or hardware video compression techniques or video streaming techniques
- Understanding of spacecraft navigation algorithm design
