- Responsibilities

Main responsibilities:
- Lead the technical team within Japan and drive the standardisation of engineering best practices.
- Become the in-country leader for engineering operations, ensuring our technical services are delivered as effectively as possible across our client managed portfolio in Japan.
- Provide consultancy services to the site operations team to match customer requirements.
- Mentor and grow the engineering standard of technical staff inherent to the account, ensuring knowledge share across the business within Japan.
- Promote safe methods of working ensuring company rules and procedures are implemented correctly.
- Work directly with our operations teams across Japan, supporting and leading maintenance and engineering management, as well as well work with APAC and Japan leadership team on developing, deploying, and managing our strategy for maximizing and growing our technical services.
- Provide oversight, direction, and advice on engineering management as directed, such as -- mechanical, electrical and alarm systems maintenance, asset management, vendor management, critical environment management, budget preparation, safety documentation and communication.
- Develop program plans, schedule, milestones, and monitor technical progress against performance objectives and budget and assist in creating pathways for self-delivery service of technical works.
- Assist in developing all technical training requirements and programs including competency assessments, critical services training, and scenario training exercises. Provide a close follow up on the deployment/implementation of all technical trainings.

Minimum requirements:
- Understanding of facilities, maintenance and or repair industry.
- Strong communication skills to connect with key stakeholders, both inside and outside of the business
- Management experience
- Proficient in MS Office (i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, Word), and/or other equivalent program management tools.
- Fundamental knowledge of financial terms and principles.
- Japanese language ability and English language ability at working level proficiency
- Ability to be flexible to meet the dynamic needs of the business
Preferred qualifications:- Proficient in CAD software will be an added advantage.
- Experience with electrical distribution system, industrial/commercial heating & cooling, refrigeration, utility equipment, and automation controls systems is a plus
