- Responsibilities

- Candidate will have industry-wide recognized technical expertise in design and manufacturing practices in their technical field (Material Science, Engineering, or a specific Manufacturing Technology), and will advise Business Unit Engineering and Corporate leadership on technological advances and industry direction.
- Candidate will help shape industry trends through participation and leadership in SEMI standards committees and the publication of peer-reviewed professional materials.
- Candidate will be responsible for Engineering Project strategic oversight, will be a key technology gate-keeper and will coordinate the organization’s staffing, and operational activities.
- Candidate will work independently on multiple projects to solve problems of various degrees of complexity and lead projects to improve product performance (performance, reliability, cost, etc.).
- Candidate will define global technical roadmaps based on Engineering, Supply Chain and Corporate requirements.
- Candidate will define, improve and document global Engineering processes. Candidate will coach and train other employees in their subject matter expertise, including optimization techniques in all project phases.
- Candidate will develop manufacturing capabilities, drive FMEA, and implement Process Control Systems (PCS) at key supplier sites including the definition of measurement and metrology methods
- Support statistical method analysis of PCS data for internal and external customers (Development Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, NPI, etc.)
- Requirements

- PhD in Engineering/Science discipline (Material Sciences, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics) or demonstrated expertise in related technical field as used in the semiconductor equipment industry.
- Minimum of 15 years of professional experience or demonstrated expertise in Engineering and/or design and manufacture of complex mechanical systems.
- Exceptional skills in conveying complex technical concepts.
- Ability to work effectively across geographies, cultures, disciplines, etc.
- Demonstrated leadership in a matrix environment who is comfortable working independently
- Semiconductor Equipment industry experience preferred
