Scope of placement services

PERSOL CAREER CO., LTD. (“PERSOL CAREER”) hereby explicitly shows a scope of job categories covered by PERSOL CAREER’s employment placement services.

■ Scope of Job Categories Covered by PERSOL CAREER’s Employment Placement Services and Scope of PERSOL CAREER’s other Services

PERSOL CAREER supports your job offer applications and job search applications with respect to any and all job categories in Japan, the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Korea, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Republic of Singapore, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, Taiwan, Malaysia, the Republic of Philippines, the Kingdom of Thailand, the Republic of Indonesia, the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, the Commonwealth of Australia (the Australian Capital Territory, Queensland, South Australia, and Victoria), and the Republic of India (excluding professions specified by the Emigration Act of 1983).

■ Service Fees

In accordance with the Employment Security Law, there is a set maximum for certain contractual conditions with which PERSOL CAREER may operate its business. PERSOL CAREER has filed a notification with the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) in advance as follows. Service fees for individual employment placements for job offerors are set forth in the application form or contract by PERSOL CAREER. PERSOL CAREER will not charge any service fees to job seekers in accordance with the Employment Security Act.

Type and Description of ServicesAmount of Service Fees

The following services provided by PERSOL CAREER to job offerors and job seekers after PERSOL CAREER’s acceptance of their job offer applications and job search applications: introduction of job seekers to job offerors, matching between job offers and job applications, and other services ancillary to the said introduction

Contingent fee

Up to 100% of the job seeker’s annual wage in the case of success of employment placement.
(This service fee will be charged to the job offeror.)

Provision of professional consultancy and advisory services to job offerors for the purpose of facilitation of satisfaction of their hiring requirements

Contingent fee

Up to 100% of the job seeker’s annual wage in the case of success of employment placement.
(This service fee will be charged to the job offeror.)

Development of special job seekers under specific terms and conditions, and surveys and searches for such development

Base fee

Up to the following upper limits for each job offer:
JPY 20 million for the 1st installment (payable upon execution of a contract);
JPY 20 million for the 2nd installment (payable upon scheduling of the 2nd interview); and JPY 20 million for the 3rd installment (payable upon the job offeror’s decision to hire the job seeker
(This service fee will be charged to the job offeror.)

Up to 100% of the job seeker’s annual wage in the case of success of employment placement.
(This service fee will be charged to the job offeror.)

Provision of professional consultancy and advisory services to job seekers for the purpose of facilitation of their efforts to get jobs

Contingent fee

Up to 100% of the job seeker’s annual wage in the case of success of employment placement.
(This service fee will be charged to the relevant employer.)

* In the event that the term of a labor agreement between a job offeror and a job seeker is shorter than 1 year, PERSOL CAREER’s service fees will be calculated based upon an annual wage which would be payable to the job seeker if the term of the labor agreement is 1 year.
* The service fees set forth above do not include Japanese consumption tax.

PERSOL CAREER’s Repayment System

Under PERSOL CAREER’s repayment system, PERSOL CAREER will make repayments to job offerors in accordance with the following provision. However, a contract between a job offeror and PERSOL CAREER may contain different provisions.

If a job seeker hired by the job offeror retires from the job offeror:

Within 1 month from a date of the job offeror’s hiring of the job seeker:
PERSOL CAREER will repay 80% of the applicable contingent fees;
After 1 month from the said date and within 3 months from the said date:
PERSOL CAREER will repay 50% of the applicable contingent fees;
After 3 months from the said date and within 6 months from the said date:
PERSOL CAREER will repay 5% of the applicable contingent fees.

■ Handling of Personal Information

PERSOL CAREER will collect information necessary for provision of employment placement services, directly from job offerors and job seekers or from third parties only with job offerors’ and job seekers’ consent. PERSOL CAREER will retain and/or use personal information so collected, only for the purpose of provision of employment placement services. PERSOL CAREER will take the following measures in connection with management of personal information.

Employees working in PERSOL CAREER’s offices where personal information is handled, shall be limited to employment placement service workers. PERSOL CAREER’s chief information protection officer shall be the Senior Executive Manager of the Corporate Division.

PERSOL CAREER’s chief employment placement managers shall provide training in the field of handling of personal information on an annual basis to PERSOL CAREER’s employees working in its offices where personal information is handled, as set forth in Section [1] above. Chief employment placement managers shall make efforts to obtain knowledge and information regarding protection of personal information by participating in chief employment placement manager training at least once every 5 years.

Upon a data subject’s request for disclosure of his or her own personal information retained by PERSOL CAREER, an employee handling such data subject’s personal information shall without delay disclose his or her factual information (such as his or her qualifications and occupational experiences) to him or her in response to such request. In addition, if a data subject requests correction (including deletion; the same shall apply hereinafter) of his or her personal information based upon such disclosure, said employee shall without delay comply with the request to the extent that the request conforms to objective facts.
PERSOL CAREER’s chief employment placement managers shall make efforts to ensure that PERSOL CAREER’s practice of disclosure or correction of personal information will become well known to job seekers and other persons concerned.

If a job seeker or any other person concerned makes a complaint concerning PERSOL CAREER’s handling of his or her personal information, PERSOL CAREER’s complaint handling personnel shall appropriately respond to such complaint in good faith.
Complaint handling personnel with respect to handling of personal information shall be the Senior Executive Manager of the Corporate Division.
