Responsibilities

A fast-growing, AI-powered manufacturing data platform company with customers in Japan, the US, and ASEAN is seeking talented engineers to help build its core product and shape a globally diverse engineering organization.

■Responsibilities

• Multi-Team Architecture: Develop and design high-level architectural concepts that span multiple products or teams. Ensure long-term technical debt is managed across the division.
• Strategic Alignment: Build the Technology Division's strategy into actionable team roadmaps. Align the team's technical choices with the company's marketplace positioning.
• Organizational Improvement: Identify and resolve systemic bottlenecks that exist between teams. This includes structuring cross-team delivery flows and improving inter-departmental collaboration.
• Technical & Product Strategy: Define and strategize resource requirements of tech stack for new product launches, actively driving hiring initiatives and leading 'Buy vs. Build' evaluations to optimize the company's bottom line.
• Culture Engineering: Fosters an environment of psychological safety and radical transparency. Actively mentors other engineers and builds a culture and peer feedback.

Requirements

■Minimum Requirements:

• 9+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and delivering web applications on cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, and Azure.
• Proven leadership in managing teams of 30+ engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable web applications through strong technical excellence and proactive guidance in architecture, implementation, and delivery.
• Product and Technical Experience
  • Experience owning system architecture design initiatives and technical strategy, including making long-term architectural decisions and aligning technical direction with product and business goals.
  • Experience leading the end-to-end delivery of B2B SaaS platforms, from requirement definition and design to implementation, delivery, and continuous improvement, ensuring enterprise-level performance, reliability, and security.
  • Experience leading the end-to-end development of B2C applications, focusing on usability, performance, and customer engagement throughout the entire product lifecycle.
  • Lead full product lifecycles, including requirement gathering, design, roadmap planning, iterative development, and post-launch improvements.
• Fluent in English, able to understand complex, context-heavy discussions and collaborate effectively with a multicultural English speaking team.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience: 9+ years in web application development, with a track record of owning technical strategy for a product line or business unit.
• Scale: Experience managing or technically leading a large organization (proven capability to influence 30+ engineers through architecture and standards).
• Business Acumen: Ability to evaluate new product features against market trends and provide feedback on the product roadmap that influences business direction.
• Conflict Resolution: Proven ability to facilitate productive outcomes in high-pressure situations involving conflicting stakeholder interests.
• Expertise Recognition: Deep expertise in a specific domain (e.g., Distributed Systems, Rust, or Data Engineering) that is recognized as a resource across the company.
