Responsibilities

This position is responsible for managing all financial operations and processes at the destination, Key Responsibilities include overseeing financial closing and reporting activities, managing audits and tax filings, and coordinating with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and other relevant agencies. This role also involves leading and supporting team members in both Japan and overseas.＊The following general activities are not exclusive of other duties, which the jobholder has to perform, assigned by the management Main responsibilities:

• Lead monthly and yearly closing and prepare financial reports by due dates.
• Review and reconcile tax entries and prepare for final tax returns.
• Prepare statutory documents by coordinating with external professionals.
• Involve in the strategic planning and budgeting process.
• Take responsibility for handling tax investigations and accounting audits.
• Establish and improve accounting processes for the growth of business.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Controllers, business units, and provide analytic support to financial planning and decision-making.
• Build and maintain effective business partner relationships with vendors, banks, and other external stakeholders through clear and consistent communication.
• Lead, manage and develop finance team members both locally and internally to ensure strong performance and alignment with organizational goals.
• Perform any other duties requested by the Finance Director.

Requirements

Minimum requirements:

• Fluent-level Japanese, proficient in verbal and written English.
• Accounting experience of more than 7 - 10 years.
• Supervisor or above experience of more than 3 years in a multi-national company.
• Strong communication and analytical skills with a mindset to work as a team.
• Excellent computer literacy and ability to understand the business processes for developing procedures and guidelines.

Preferred qualifications:

• Professional skills such as CPA.
