As the head of the Fashion and Watches & Fine Jewelry Operations team, this person will be responsible for managing all logistics and warehousing operations for the Fashion and WFJ divisions in Japan through partnering with the 3PL partner. This role focuses on optimizing end-to-end logistics procedures for selling items and promotional materials (SPM) and people management of team of 3.
Main responsibilities:- Operation management
- Optimize end-to-end logistics procedures for selling items and SPM, including inventory management.
- Liaise with Business Divisions (Fashion and WFJ) to ensure timely delivery of stock.
- Communicate with other relevant functions within Chanel and the 3PL partner to meet business needs and respond to internal audit items.
- People management
- Manage team members (3 direct reports and 3-4 agency staffs)
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to develop professional skills.
- Vendor management
- Manage 3PL service providers to enhance service levels and optimize logistics costs.
- Provide transparency, monitor KPIs, and ensure service level improvements.
- Logistics re-engineering
- Optimize warehousing and related costs by re-engineering process
- Budget / Cost management
- Create and manage logistics related budget/cost
- Project management
- Manage projects as needed (ERP upgrade, global project involvement, etc.)

- Internal:
- Local Fashion and WFJ divisions
- Global logistics team of both divisions (Fashion and WFJ)

- 3PL partners and local/global freight forwarders

- Requirements

Minimum requirements:
- University graduate
- Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics within multinational consumer goods or luxury retail.
- Proficient in software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experienced with ERP/WMS.
- Project management experience.
- Experience in warehouse management through a 3PL partner is a big plus.
- Native Japanese and fluent in English (business level).
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.
