Responsibilities

Main responsibilities:

• Support the ED Construction of Design and Construction to focus the implementation of our Japan Integrated Resort
• Identify risks associated with a large scale of construction on a man-made island
• Work with our development partner to align on strategy related to land improvement, settlement, structural design and other engineering related aspects of the Project
• Review construction planning, drawings, and quotations submitted by general contractors and consultants for conformance to agreed upon engineering strategies and methodologies
• Support development team to ensuring that engineering solutions are developed within Project budget and schedule constrains
• Participate meetings related to construction and other engineering related aspects of the Project
• Participate in City/Prefectural meetings related to construction works
• Conduct frequent site visits and on-site coordination meetings as required
• Attend construction materials and methodology testing as required
• Provide reporting on project construction related topics and meetings to provide visibility into progress on these issues for project stakeholders
• Perform other job-related duties and construction related needs as required

Requirements

Minimum requirements:

• At least 10 years of design and construction experience (15 years or more is better); construction experience is more important considering the project context.
• Experience with foundation structures (pile foundations, mountain retaining) and underground structures (underground building frames, box culverts) is required.
• Experience with high-rise buildings is even better.
• For civil engineering, a civil engineering construction management engineer (essential) and a professional engineer (even better); for construction, a building construction management engineer (essential) and a professional architect (even better).

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with large projects is also a plus.
