Responsibilities

Main responsibilities:

• Provide effective supervision, training and coaching to assigned maintenance employees to achieve the required equipment up time, equipment repairs, and production goals.
• Maintain site records and inventories.
• Ensure that standard operating procedures and engineering procedures are current, accurate and that all work is done in compliance to ensure maximum quality.
• Monitor to ensure that all employees comply with safety regulations.
• Work with employees to resolve technical and machine problems.
• Maintain ongoing preventive maintenance program to ensure optimum equipment performance
• Provide the shift to shift communication link in order to keep all team members working toward the same goals. 
• Communicate to employees all issues that affect the system solution.
• Oversee equipment upgrades and retrofit projects, effectively coordinating with supplier support.
• Ensure accurate spare parts inventory and on-site availability to support equipment repairs and upgrades
• Participate directly in maintain operations and act as a reference, especially for newcomers
• Characterize issues on site, lead the problem solving process to identify root-causes, escalate blocking points.
• Define an implement actions to tackle definitely root-causes
• Implement continuous improvement projects on the site
• Lead or co-lead team rituals according to the framework established by the company
• Represent the business on-site

Requirements

Minimum requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar position
• Good general knowledge and competency in mechanical, electrical and software maintenance operations and engineering
• Strong Japanese communication skills
• An interest working on various systems and machines
• Ability to work on-site at client warehouse

Preferred qualifications:

• Any level of fluency in English would be a big plus, but not necessary
