Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the Senior Vehicle Function Engineer are as follows.
Main responsibilities:

• Leading the electric component and vehicle function development
• Taking part in the development activities within area of expertise.
• Ensuring that the electric component and vehicle function development is performed according to the defined development processes and methods.
• Plan and monitor all electric component and vehicle function development activities and deliverables in each project, regularly follow-up progress, and escalate issues that need support/assistance from line or project management.
• Risk management of electric component and vehicle function development activities to continuously work with identifying risks within scope of project using appropriate tools (risks analysis, FMEA, dependability analysis, etc…) and clearly and proactively communicating risks to stakeholders
• Ensure timely and proper communication within the team and with stakeholders.
• Secure that the product design documents are reviewed and released according to defined routines.
• Check if a new EE system baseline is required to be released as a result of the vehicle function development within the project.
• Escalate activities that are not being developed according to approved methods or is too risky and will jeopardize the QDCF of the project.

Requirements

Minimum requirements:

• At least 5 years’ experience in electronic component development and vehicle function development
• Knowledge in hardware and software architectures
• Knowledge of development process and tools
• Leadership and communication skills
• Fluent in both written and spoken Japanese and English
