Our client is a global cosmetics and beauty product manufacturer that operates a wide range of businesses both domestically and internationally. They manufacture various beauty products, including skincare, haircare, makeup, and fragrances. Each brand within their diverse brand portfolio presents distinctive characteristics of its own and all work to drive innovation and shape industry trends.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain databases, including optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Design, develop, and deploy applications using Java, C/C#, and Microsoft Power Platform.
• Propose solutions, design and implement new functions in alignment with the business needs.
• Work closely with vendors to evaluate, select, and implement new software applications following best practices and policy.
• Work closely with global team to deploy global solution and lead successful deployment in Japan.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users, including troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document business requirements.
• Maintain documentation and perform code reviews to ensure code quality and compliance.
• Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends to recommend process improvements and innovative solutions.

Requirements

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in database management, application development, and vendor management.
• Strong experience in programming languages such as Java, C/C#.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills in both Japanese (native level) and English (business level).
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Flexibility and willingness to help others out is important.
• Experience participating in globally and locally driven IT Projects (regardless of role).

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience working in a multinational company is preferred.
