Our client is a Japanese precision equipment manufacturer, offering medical imaging products, industrial solutions, scientific instruments, and manufacturing equipment. Its primary products are medical devices, cameras, optical equipment, and industrial machinery.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the global SC Data & Analytics team (direct and functionally)
  • Executively manages data usage and data quality within Supply Chain domain, contributing in key transformation projects as workstream lead and taking with hands-on mentality task (e.g., data validations, business rules/ filter verification)
  • Establishes data analyst/ scientist services for SC function and builds an actionable data & analytics value proposition
  • Supports with conceptualization, preparation and implementation of Business Intelligence related business cases (e.g., PowerBI dashboards), scopes and benefit harvesting
  • Provides and shares best practices for an emerging Data & Analytics practice, enables staff members
  • Translates master / transactional data strategy, mission, and vision into actionable governance priorities and facilitates execution
  • Maintains a functional long-term view and owns respective targets/ goals for Data Management and improvements, and oversees execution w/ PDCA cycles
  • Oversees functional day-by-day operations of data-related SC activities (e.g., data accuracy validation) from business perspective
  • Act as operations escalation point and drives continuous operations excellence
  • Drives adoption of governance policies, standards, and procedures for the Supply Chain Data & Analytics domain
  • Owns strategic projects within the Supply Chain data domain and ensures collaboration in project and day-by-day operation with impacted projects
  • Collaborates as a senior advisor to project teams, SCM & their leadership functions globally
  • Disciplinary leadership of a team of 3-5 staff members in different regions (Japan, India, Europe)
Requirements
  • Postgraduate degree in a relevant subject or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education and/ or training
  • Experience in project management (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid), a certification is a plus
  • Functional experience in SAP ERP systems (mainly in modules MM, PP) and SAP MDG, , a certification is a plus
  • Preferably knowledge in Supply Chain applications (IBP, WMS, Control Tower)
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft PowerBI, Tableau or other BI suites
  • 5+ years work experience with MedTech/ related industries and/ or leading consulting firms in the area of Data Management, Data Analytics, or Data Scientists, with a focus on Supply Chain Planning and/ or Logistics
  • Possess understanding of key operations-related business process (e.g., PLAN, SOURCE, MAKE, DELIVER), process and performance management
  • Experience in modern cloud-based data architectures, SQL, software solutions and databases build on Microsoft Azure - industry-recognized certifications are a plus
  • Working hours considering EMEA, APAC and AMERICAS timezones
  • Ability to travel occasionally overseas
