Responsibilities
Mission:
Your mission is to lead the Japan Commercial team in building, strengthening and optimizing relationships with brand and boutique partners in the region. You will be directly responsible for maximizing sales for our partners, and increase Farfetch GMV both in Japan & beyond. You will actively lead & engage business development for new boutique or brand partners in the region all the way from the scouting phase to deal negotiation and signing. You will also be responsible for the account management of key partners in the region, with the key objective of strengthening the relationship and enable bilateral growth & development. This position requires leadership and a multifaceted understanding of e-commerce & retail, both from a commercial and operational perspective. You will support and coach our partners, and work seamlessly with internal teams (APAC & Japan commercial, operations, marketing, customer service etc.) to achieve personal, team and company objectives.
Main responsibilities:
  • 70-80% of time and effort will be dedicated to brand and boutique partner management, optimization & development
  • 20-30% of time and effort will be dedicated to Business Development for new brand or boutique partners in Japan, including stock point expansions & developments
  • Responsible for increasing sales & GMV for Japan boutique and brand partners
  • Actively manage key business areas related to brand or boutique partners – partner training, commercial discussions, pricing, arranging product shoots & more
  • Responsible for supporting new partners & completing business reviews and reporting
  • Deal with customer care, logistics and other departments to ensure excellent service to both partners and customers (fast delivery, correct stock management and uploading, pricing, etc.)
Requirements
Minimum requirements:
  • Japanese level: Native
  • English: Fluent (written and spoken) *English is used for communication with internal departments & the APAC team
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • 6+ years of Client Service experience
  • Strong understanding of the e-commerce industry, both local and cross-border
  • Good/advanced PC skills (Excel Pivot and data tools for tabulation, Word, PPT etc.)
  • Japanese nationality or VISA holder who can work in Japan

Preferred qualifications:
  • Client Service experience in retail, e-commerce, fashion retail, or luxury fashion
  • Digital experience
