Responsibilities

You will be handling renewal projects within the Travel API development group. To stay competitive in global market, we are looking for developers with a growth mindset that will grow the business with us.
Main responsbilities:

• Develop and operate APIs for inbound travelers
• Collaborate with team members, product managers, front-end engineers, as well as other group companies, to propel the website renewal toward success
• Post renewal: constantly improve features and performance of APIs
• Provide stable APIs for travelers and partners by finding issues with monitoring, alerting, and collaborating with support engineers
• Become a role model to next generation engineers with your technical skills and lead growth in the organization

Requirements

Minimum requirements:

• Web API development and operation experience using Java and Spring Framework
• Web API development experience on Linux
• Experience designing tables and queries of RDBMS (e.g. Oracle) for high performance applications
• Experience with team development using VCS (e.g. GitHub / Bitbucket) and pull requests
• Experience reviewing codes and designs
• Experience improving architecture, conducting performance analysis/tuning
• Knowledge of web API operation, performance improvement and security
• Experience with architecture design and choosing technology stack (e.g. middlewares)
• Experience conducting automation tests (e.g. xUnit / xSpec)
• Skills for database design, and ability to consider architecture for several systems
• Experience with interface design for web API
• Actively facilitate discussions in English
• Motivated to develop the team
• Experience as team leader or project manager
• You have ownership for software development
• Be curious and continue to learn new technologies and find ways to solve issues and requirements

Preferred qualifications:

• Experiences with NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB, Elasticsearch) schema / query design
• Cross-organizational process improvement experience
• IaaS, CaaS, PaaS development experience
• OSS development, conference speaking, technical book writing
• BtoBtoC application development experience
• Middleware performance improvement through source code analysis
• API development using GraphQL or gRPC
• Microservice architecture experience
• On-call experience
• Web application framework or library development experience
• Web security knowledge
• New service launch and growth phase challenges
• Developer leadership or management experience
• Tracking Cookie knowledge
• Full application lifecycle experience
