The TA Manager in Japan will play an important role in shaping the TA practices and delivery for Japan. As a strategic talent advisor, s/he builds partnerships with business leaders, hiring managers, HR Business Partners, and diverse recruitment sources while maintaining excellent relationships across TA.The primary focus is building and delivering a highly capable internal recruitment function for Japan. The goal is to deliver phenomenal client experiences through results and credibility, while enabling future organizational growth. In addition to driving a culture of continuous improvement and development, s/he will inspire their peers and stakeholders to achieve greatness, lead projects/initiatives that propel our capability, and deliver flawless execution to the business. The Talent Acquisition Manager will own the recruiting strategy for Japan including mid-career, new graduate, and disability hiring — as part of the APAC TA Leadership Team
Main responsibilities:- Responsible for end to end recruitment in Japan including the attraction, assessment, and selection of talent
- Partner with business leaders throughout the Company to design comprehensive and creative sourcing strategies that will create a pipeline of diverse top talent to drive business success
- Partner with HR Leader to build and lead a highly effective and customer-facing team who are business knowledgeable, proactive, responsive and client-focused, ensuring consistency in recruitment strategy and practices across the region in alignment with the Global Talent Acquisition Strategy
- Closely partner with global Talent Branding & Recruitment Marketing, TA Operations, and Executive recruitment team and drive Japan TA Roadmap as part of the APAC TA Leadership Team.
- Manage and/or participate in regional and global TA projects
- Prepare, communicate, educate and drive adoption with the team and organization on recruiting resources / systems / procedures
- Coach and consult with business leaders and hiring managers on recruitment and talent mobility best practices to ensure that talent acquisition is driving the business to meet and achieve its goals.
- Responsible for monitoring, reporting and driving the regional talent acquisition metrics and performance (Example: time to accept, time to present, source of hire) and analyzing trends to identify and proactive address potential challenges
- Continuous improvement: refine and increase the quality of search delivery and the diversity of slates.
- Stay abreast of employment trends affecting the recruitment function, current employment legislation and policies
- Align regional processes and global processes, drive best practice standardization, promote accountability of metrics, and ensure team is meeting recruitment goals
- Partner with APAC TA Leader to engage on country specific priorities and opportunities, while participating in the Global TA COE
- Continuously implement and improve global TA tools, templates and training in partnership with operations team and regional TA leader
- Provide mentorship and resource support for local team members for process, program and system support
- Owner and point of contact on vendor management and investment strategy for the region
- Drive compliance with local government regulations and data integrity of ATS and CRM through accountability, process design, training and technology
- Responsible for all TA related process audits for internal and external purposes Ensure team and business is delivering recruitment to the highest standard with high integrity
- Work closely with the Corporate Communications & Branding team on talent branding initiatives

Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, Human Resource, Business, or related field is preferred
- 10+ years of work experience, previous recruiting experience required
- 4+ years of leading a team required (direct people management)
- Global exposure and/or US multinational experience is preferred.
- Proven ability to drive programs, lead people through change, and reduce third party agency usage to meet deliverables in a complex environment
- Demonstrated excellence in customer relations and building strong and influential relationships at all levels within an organization; problem solving and proactive service orientation.
- Must have knowledge of recruiting best practices, strong business acumen, excellent project and change management skills
- Must have the ability to train, coach and mentor while building organizational capability
- Proven experience influencing remote colleagues with a strong focus on operational excellence
- Excellent ability to collect, organize, analyze, interpret, and communicate information in clear and concise, executive level ready format to derive useful and actionable insights,
- Business level fluency in written, verbal communication and presentation skills in English AND Japanese
- Ability to travel regionally and globally (~10%)
