Responsibilities

The QC Chemist　performs various tasks related to operational quality control using defined procedures and techniques. Supports the analytical work of the QC lab and performs evaluations to monitor product quality. While supporting production, the QC Chemist evaluates product quality and, if a quality problem occurs, participates from an analytical technology perspective in investigating the cause and developing countermeasures. The QC Chemist also contributes to maintaining overall quality by monitoring and interpreting internal and external analytical results to ensure reliable results for test samples and final products.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2-3 years of chemistry laboratory experience.
• Ability to lead and mentor special projects in the QC lab.
• Experience developing advanced measurement techniques for complex parts.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision within established procedures and practices.
• Proficient in data analysis, problem solving and decision making techniques.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of laboratory equipment and procedures.
• Experience in designing and conducting measurement studies.
• Ability to assist technicians in other labs and areas within the department.
• Behavioral Competencies: Demonstrated team leadership, analytical thinking, problem solving, and sustained team goal achievement.
