- Responsibilities

Main responsibilities:
- Responsible to drive the strategic growth of the business through management and franchise agreements to achieve the business' ambition for Japan, in line with strategy plan.
- Lead the team on end-to-end development cycle which includes (i) relationship building and networking with owner/development communities to position the company as their preferred operator, (ii) deal sourcing/hunting, evaluation, pitching, integration, closing and (iii) handover to internal stakeholders.
- Negotiate commercial terms, management and franchise agreements for single unit transaction or portfolio for conversions, new builds and/or renewals.
- Build trusted partnerships and drive alignment with internal and external stakeholders to achieve the desired outcomes and deliver growth ambition.
- Support internal stakeholders on project assessments and introductions to projects/owners.
- Seek opportunistic projects on strategic platforms i.e. local OpCo, brands, third-party operators etc, as part of inorganic growth.
- Identify projects relating to new business i.e. branded residences, franchises etc.
- Supervise the preparation of internal memos include deal recommendation, management approval papers, draft contracts for legal to review.
- Lead any other business development duties as directed by Management or in-country ad-hoc projects.

Minimum requirements:
- At least 10 years’ experience in a Business Development / Real Estate role or equivalent
- Proven track record of achieving development targets, ability to prospect, develop and close strategic relationships and opportunities to achieve growth, uncover new leads and partnerships
- Possesses multi-disciplinary knowledge in business development, marketing, strategy, operations, technologies, etc.
- Degree in Real Estate, Hospitality, Finance, Business, or equivalent.
- Excellent spoken and written both in local language and English.
- Performance driven, effective presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership, people management and interpersonal skills, team player.
