Responsibilities
Senior HR Manager Japan is the lead Japan HR team. This position will partner closely with business leaders in Japan, HR COE leads, HRBPs to implement HR programs and talent plans that support the business strategy, talent strategy and culture across client groups.
Main responsiblities:
  • Business Partnering (35%)
    • Partner with business and functional leaders to maximize the performance of their organizations.
    • Advise and consult on matters of total rewards, organizational development, organization design changes and cultural initiatives as needed to meet business objectives.
    • Stay well connected to the business, developing a deep understanding of their business & strategy.
    • Provide the guidance and leadership for the functions from an HR perspective whilst also translating the HR needs of the business to the CoE and Global HR team to deploy appropriate processes and programs in ways that bring value.
    • Implement HR change management in line with global HR strategy.
  • Guide the main key HR processes of the Employee Journey, in line with the local business needs and Global HR guideline/goals (35%)
    • Workforce planning Budgeting and Forecasting
    • Talent acquisition and management / Succession plan
    • Performance management
    • Learning and Development
    • Develop internal communication, employee engagement and DEI.
    • Employee and labor relations
  • Employee Experience (20%)
    • Drive HR initiatives and improve employee experience based on the findings from employee survey and relevant market study.
    • Enhance employee value proposition for better talent acquisition, retention, and business success.
    • Ensure seamless and timely execution of global programs, policies and initiatives working together with HR team.
  • People Management (10%)
    • Manage and develop team members according to their needs and get the team highly engaged and motivated

Requirements
Minimum requirements:
  • 10+ years progressive HR experience with increasing scope as an HRBP (or closely related function) in a matrixed, high-growth environment
  • 4+ years leading a team of HR professionals at varying levels of experience
  • Experience successfully coaching, developing, and mentoring a distributed team.
  • Experience collaborating closely with COEs, regional/global HR leaders, and senior business leaders, developing solutions in partnership.
  • Demonstrated experience influencing and establishing trusting partnerships.
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to generate insights and recommendations for business.
  • Excellent verbal and written English.
  • A collaborative, humble, and team-minded HR leader who sees the big picture and can flex easily between leading a team while working deeply in the details.
  • Good judgement and ability to balance the needs of the business, culture, managers and employees.
  • Good knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion and how to apply principles across the employee lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and problem-solving skills; Good understanding of people analytics and how to leverage insights to inform talent solutions.
