Responsibilities

• Developing embedded hardware
• Designing board specifications based on satellite system requirements and circuit design based on them
• Software development based on satellite system specifications and specifications of other satellite components
• Document design information
• Design and code review
• Schematics using electrical CAD
• Prepare the information necessary for board manufacturing, request manufacturing to the manufacturer, and conduct acceptance inspection of delivered substrates on the field
• Various test designs and hands-on
• Work closely with other engineering teams, partners, and vendors to ensure interoperability and reusability
• Propulsion of adjacent subsystems and debugging and interfaces
• Work with software designers to solve problems
• Support for initial operation and satellite operation in the event of trouble
• Implementation and testing of device drivers using C/C++

Requirements

• Education: Graduated from a technical college or university in digital circuits, analog circuits, electromagnetics, computer science, control engineering, mechatronics, and other engineering
• Business-level Japanese (preferential treatment for JLPT N1, N2 holders) and basic English proficiency (technical communication skills and business email, etc.)
• At least three years of practical experience in designing electronic circuits for microcontrollers or FPGAs and their peripheral circuits (power supplies, digital and analog interfaces, etc.)
• Experience in FPGA logic design with HDL and IDE
• Basic knowledge of computer systems, especially embedded systems, or experience in their work
• Knowledge of protocols such as UART/USART, SPI, I2C, etc.
• Basic knowledge or experience of various equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, Logiana, stabilized power supplies)
• Pcb artwork design can be performed by yourself or by outsourcing control
• More than 3 years engaged in embedded hardware development in the previous job
• Practical experience in circuit simulation using LTSpice, etc.
• Experience in designing board artwork
• Experience designing FPGA systems using processor IP cores or SoC-type FPGAs
• Experience in developing embedded software with C or C++
• Experience in developing real-time systems based on RTOS (e.g. FreeRTOS, vxWorks, uCLinux, etc.)
• Be able to use command-line tools, GNU tools, and scripts
• Configuration management tools are available. Good to be available from the console
• Ability to build a software build environment
• Experience in harness design
• Must have an industry-customary degree, qualification, or recommendation letter
