Responsibilities

Position Summary:

• Advocate and supports the Corporate WIN Strategy by managing the quality operations. Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality standards for products and processes.
• Provides statistical information for quality improvement by gathering data on trends and root cause analysis.
• Responsible to guide technical evaluation, analysis, and related data acquisition processes to ensure quality objectives are achieved.

Essential Functions:

• Supports more senior quality engineers in assessing quality performance using statistical and analytical methods.
• Performs internal audits of the quality system as related to documented procedures, work instructions, and the ISO9001 International Standard.
• Supports more senior quality engineers in implementing established quality systems and procedures.
• Ensures that project and/or process control documentation is complaint with requirements and/or contract.
• Support auditing of quality requirements by assisting with in-house and supplier audits and survey.
• Supports the implementation of programs to improve supplier performance.
• Supports the preparation of reports by collecting and summarizing data.
• Supports statistical analysis when products or materials do not meet required quality standards and specifications.
• May Support implementing continuous improvement and key lean manufacturing/production principle and techniques to critical areas of production.
• Prepares control plans/inspection plans.
• May liaise with customers and vendors.

Requirements

• Knowledge equivalent to a Bachelor of Mechanical or Electronic Engineering is preferable 
• Minimum 2years Quality Engineer experience.
• Understanding of ISO standards
• Growth mind-set
• “Can Do” attitude
• Higher levels of Windows office skills are required
• Global Communication Skills – Intermediate to Business level is preferable
• Strong communication skill in Japanese and English is mandatory

4.5 - 6.5 million yen
