Responsibilities

• Development of purchasing strategies for BX Japan to align with the company strategies and globalregional key purchasing functions
• Strategically and operationally develop purchasing budget, forecast
• Develop purchasing managers and staff in line with succession plan and carrier path
• Act as “face of the company” to all suppliers and other external stakeholders
• Monitor KPI results (see “performance measurement”) continuously and take all necessary actions in case the KPIs may not be able to reach the targets
• Lead change management for all purchasing business processes
• Performance Measurement (Achievement of key KPIs)
• MPV (material price variance)
• Productivity
• LCC share
• Average payment terms
• SDC rating
• CAPEXNPM cost avoidance savings
• Supplier PPM
• Number of complaints to suppliers
• Reduction of supplier groups in BXJapan
• NPM Performance KPI according to global NPM guideline

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Accounting, Engineering – MBA preferred
• 10+ years of business experience in an automotive manufacturing tier 1 environment (cross-functional exposure preferred – technical & commercial experience)
• Good understanding & respect of diversity
• Project management skills
• Basic knowledge on SAP and key IT tools (e.g. P4T)
• Continuous improvement mindset, problem solving, time and process management skills
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, logistics, commodity markets and understanding of components and products
