Responsibilities
Knowledge of Agency Life/Clients/TechnologyØ Strong industry knowledge related to PR and DigitalØ Be open-minded and willing to learn the inner workings of a PR and digital agencyØ Understand our business objectives and the nature of its clientsØ Possess tactical skills and motivation to grow in all HR-related areas  HR ManagementØ Partner with JP management team and Regional Operations Team on develop and implement HR strategies by establishing HR objective that aligned to Hoffman’s goalsØ Provide professional advice and support to JP management on all areas of people managementØ Manage HR operations of recruitment, orientation, talent development, performance management, counseling, employee conduct, and disciplinary issues.Ø Maintain employee engagement and motivation in work  RecruitmentØ Take lead of the whole recruitment process, dealing with different stakeholders (Japan management team, regional operations and candidates)Ø Design and implement the overall recruiting strategy for JapanØ Collaborate with Japan management team and Regional HR on a regular basis and proactively identify future hiring needsØ Ensure that hiring process is in compliance with company policies and proceduresØ Develop and maintain pools of qualified candidates by networking with industry contacts, trade groups, social media, and employeesØ Source and attract candidates by using recruiting agency, recruiting ad provider, databases, dynamic social media, etc.Ø Support internship program for Japan, partner with universities and identify speaking opportunities; build up company branding within academic institutions and attract potential internsØ Post positions to appropriate channels (e.g. internet/social media sources)Ø Develop and update job descriptions and writing testsØ Conduct first interview and filter candidates for open positions in cooperation with Office ManagerØ Schedule interviews and writing testsØ Perform administrative duties and recordkeeping  HR GeneralistØ Work closely with Japan management team and Regional HR on all HR-related functions, ensuring compliance to HR policies and proceduresØ Take lead of employee onboarding orientation, including updating related materials by cooperation with Office ManagerØ Manage the HR system – HR Pro – employee data, leaves management and training record, etc.Ø Provide support to employees in HR-related topics, such as leaves, overtime, etc., and resolve issues and problemsØ Support Japan management team in performance reviews (3-month and annual review)Ø Coordinate with regional HR in training and development programØ Take lead of exit process for departing employeesØ Liaise with legal counsel on any HR-related issuesØ Manage employees’ related insuranceØ Assist Regional HR in development and implementation of human resources policiesØ Comply with Japan labor law by studying existing and new regulations; advise Japan management team and Regional HR on needed actionsØ Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper formsØ Represent and uphold a positive and engaging employer brand, cultivate organization culture  AdminØ Participate to the regular APAC operation call to make sure all administration works take place properlyØ Guide Michie to increase her work quality as well as speed up all administration works to enables staff to be productive wherever they may be.Ø Take the lead of office moving projectØ Work with Office manager to plan and coordinate employee travel  DigitalØ Have a good understanding of digital channels and how they apply to HR functionsØ Promote HR in recruitment, employer branding, etc. by using social media channels regularly, and learn how they are evolving on an ongoing basisØ Apply a global lens to digital communication strategies in HR  HA ServicesØ Participate in “lunch bucket” presentationsØ Become adept in the resources of all satellite and global offices, and set example of how your client teams can effectively use them
