業務内容
  • The Vice President of Human Resources is responsible for providing leadership for all aspects of Human Resources for MGM Resorts Japan. This position includes managing the day-to-day HR needs of MGM Resorts Japan over the short term, as well as playing a pivotal role in assisting MGM Resorts in leading the strategy, planning, and execution of the workforce development plans of Osaka IR KK over the long term. This involves establishing Osaka IR KK’s HR department while actively planning and participating in operational tasks until a larger team is assembled. All duties are performed in accordance with MGM Resorts International policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Optimally, the Vice President of Human Resources could have the opportunity to transition into a senior leadership role within Osaka IR KK at the appropriate time.

  • Serve as a local representative, brand ambassador and role model for the company and its core values.
  • Help define and lead the execution of the long-term and short-term Human Resources Strategic Plan for Osaka IR KK in collaboration with partner ORIX Corporation.
  • Partner and collaborate with MGM Resorts’ senior leaders to identify human capital and Human Resource needs and solutions to support business objectives.
  • Identify internal and external trends that impact human capital and the Human Resources function to define strategies, processes, and initiatives to deliver value to MGM Resorts Japan and Osaka IR KK.
  • Define and implement talent management strategies and processes to recruit, develop, and retain talent to create a high-performance culture.
  • Oversee the management of world-class employee facilities and events, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Implement initiatives to position the company as a preferred employer, promoting a culture of employee satisfaction, engagement, and professional development.
  • Lead and implement processes and mechanisms to drive culture and employee engagement deep into the organization.
  • Develop and implement processes and tools to ensure MGM Resorts Japan and Osaka IR KK are competitive in the marketplace.
  • Lead the development and execution of continuous improvement initiatives that improve the overall culture, performance, and effectiveness of the HR function, MGM Osaka Resorts Japan, and Osaka IR KK.
  • Actively provide leadership, guidance and process support for organization design, strategy, organization effectiveness and leadership development opportunities across MGM Resorts Japan and Osaka IR KK.
  • Optimize and drive efficiency across HR systems, technology and processes to deliver ROI to the company.
  • Effectively assesses and evaluates risks associated with human capital and the Human Resources function and identifies appropriate strategies to proactively address and mitigate risk to the company.
  • Develop and manage effective strategic partnerships with HR vendors that deliver ROI to the company.
  • Recruit, onboard, coach and develop strategic HR leadership talent that drives business results.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, ensuring adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions. The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, locally, nationally, and regionally as applicable.
  • Responsible for overseeing employee relations, dealing with cases, complaints, issues and compliance matters.
  • Collaborate with HR Global Development to formulate and execute a comprehensive workforce development plan for Osaka IR KK, encompassing both pre- and post-opening phases.
  • Establish partnerships with local associations and educational institutes to enhance talent development initiatives and foster community engagement.
  • Provide comprehensive support to expatriate employees to facilitate a positive experience and contribute to a cohesive, diverse workforce.
  • Develop and execute relocation plans for expatriates, ensuring a smooth transition and integration into the local culture and workplace.
  • Collaborate to design and manage a competitive remuneration and benefits plan to attract and retain top talent in the industry.
  • Stay abreast of market trends and industry benchmarks to ensure the organization's compensation packages remain competitive and aligned with industry standards.
  • Performs other duties as required.
