We are hiring a passionate HR Business Partner to provide consultation and HR service to our Japan based employees. This HR Business Partner will be based out of our Site in Kanagawa. The successful candidate will have several years of experience as business HR Partner in highly skilled manufacturing operations and will be both a strategic and hands-on contributor in partnering with the business to develop and execute our people initiatives.
Main responsibilities:- Partner with business and functional leadership in country to develop, implement and deploy APAC people strategy in a way that delivers maximum value, identifying specific requirements to attract, engage, develop and reward the best talent across the organization.
- Lead staffing process and activities, including budget, workforce planning, employer branding, hiring needs clarification, interview, on boarding and induction till passing probation period.
- Facilitate and drive performance management, including annual cycle of performance discussions milestones, performance recovery plan and actions. Achieve 100% completion performance discussions milestones.
- Ensure company compliance of all HR and administration activities per local and national applicable laws and regulations and according to company guidelines and rules.
- Foster positive employee relations and enhance employee engagement by frequent employee communications from different channels, employee representative activities, employee survey and actions to improve, exit interviews and actions, manage out properly, organizing team event.
- Co-create talent management processes and systems with Group and BU HR to be aligned to respective country culture and need. Roll out training & education program locally.
- Enable efficient, scalable, and customer-centric operations; as well as drive a culture of higher performance, D.E. I and employee engagement.
- Build employer image and retention activities in terms of monetary, development and career opportunities.

MInimum requirements:
- BA/BS in relevant field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources Business Partner roles in manufacturing/engineering MNCs
- Experience supporting multiple business and functional groups simultaneously, in multinational matrix organizations.
- In depth knowledge of Local HR policies, processes, and legislation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partners and internal stakeholders.
- Bilingual English and Japanese strongly preferred.
