業務内容

A Japan-based subsidiary of a leading global seafood company, specializing in premium salmon products and sustainable aquaculture, playing a strategic role in serving the Japanese market and broader Asia region.

This position reports to the Asia Finance Director and will progressively take the lead of the finance function of the Japan entity. 
Over time, the role is expected to evolve into the Head of Finance within 1–2 years, enhancing existing capabilities and driving necessary change.
The current finance team consists of seven members, each specializing in one key finance area (Financial Accounting, Reporting & Analysis, Cash Management, and Costing).
Looking ahead, the organization is entering a phase focused on:

• Functional enhancement
• Promoting delegation and empowerment
• Strengthening analytical capability and strategic advisory capacity

For at least the first 6–9 months, the role will primarily focus on learning the business, processes, and systems before taking on broader responsibilities. There will be no direct reports during this initial period.

■Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting / Controlling
  • Prepare weekly performance analysis and forecasts
  • Conduct waterfall analysis and provide business commentaries
  • Gradually assume responsibility for monthly reporting
  • Lead the annual budgeting process (first year as a transition/learning period)
  • Perform inventory analysis, NRV evaluation, and review the adequacy of provisions
  • Conduct financial analysis of sales and purchase contracts
• Plant Controlling / Costing
  • Develop a strong understanding of cost structures and recommend improvements
  • Analyze plant processing performance
  • Identify and visualize key cost drivers
• Investment / Strategy
  • Review annual Capex plans
  • Evaluate new business opportunities and investment justifications
  • Track ROI against approved plans
  • Support pricing decisions and contract negotiations
  • Provide financial advisory support to management
  • Contribute to risk management initiatives
• Organization & Leadership
  • Mentor and develop team members
  • Improve process reproducibility and promote standardization
  • Design and implement delegation and role enhancement frameworks
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment and consensus building

応募条件

■Minimum Requirements:

• Finance experience within a manufacturing environment
• 10+ years of progressively expanded responsibilities
• Strong accounting and financial analysis expertise
• ERP experience in a must
• Business-level English (capable of verbal discussion and explanation)

■Preferred qualifications:

• Deep understanding of costing and plant controlling
• Experience leading change or transformation initiatives
• Power BI / AI capabilities (or strong willingness to develop)
• Strong people skills

Character of This Position :

• Manufacturing × Full-Scope Finance
  • You will oversee the full spectrum of finance functions within a manufacturing business, covering not only reporting but also costing, operations, investment, and strategic support.
  • You will report directly to the Asia Finance Director. English is used regularly for meetings, reporting, and discussions. Overseas travel (1–2 times per year) may be required.
• Transitional Leadership Role
  • Working collaboratively with the current Controller, you will gradually expand your responsibilities.
  • The role requires the ability to value consensus while maintaining execution momentum and avoiding decision paralysis.
